Reiki is a form of alternative healing medicine often referred to as energy healing. This Japanese technique involves the transfer of positive healing energy from a Reiki Master or Practioner's hands onto their patient raising the vibratory level of the energy field in and around the physical body with the Reiki Master or Practioner typically placing their hands on the areas of the body where the energy is most needed. This "laying hands-on" technique is based on the idea that an unseen life force energy flows through each and every one of us and any disruptions in the flow of this life force energy or "ki" can manifest in the diminished function of the organs and cells of the physical body.
Reiki increases a person’s supply of life energy.
If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
Reiki is a simple, natural, and safe method of self-healing and self-improvement that anyone can use. It is also 100% safe for treating all people of all ages and animals. Hospitals and clinics around the world now offer Reiki as a part of their patient service offering, finding it useful and sometimes miraculous when used in conjunction with traditional medicine or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery. A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind, and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security, and wellbeing. Many have reported miraculous results.
Reiki is usually performed in a quiet medical or spa-like setting. Most commonly Reiki is offered through light, non-invasive touch with the Reiki Master or Reiki Practioner's hands-on or near a series of locations on the body. As Reiki does not require physical touch, it can also be performed long distance.
What one experiences during a Reiki treatment session varies from person to person. The majority of people report feelings of deep relaxation and experiencing a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and surrounds them, as well as a more positive and balanced outlook and feelings of peace, security, and wellbeing.
While Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion. It has no dogma, and there is nothing you must believe in order to learn and use Reiki. In fact, Reiki is not dependent on belief at all and will work whether you believe in it or not.

What To expect from a reiki session
Prep and Expectations
Preparation:
When you book an IN-PERSON or a Distance Session it benefits to drink plenty of water the day before and some on the day of your scheduled appointment. Water tends to make the Reiki flow better in my experience and allows the client to have a more clearer and purified experience.
Please wear comfortable clothing and limit the amount of jewelry you wear for the session. Crystals are great but metals tend to absorb the energy when it should be going towards the body.
What to expect:
You should arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled In-Person appointment to fill out forms and for us to have a brief introduction. I do not need your date of birth, or social security number as this has nothing to do with your healing.
As we begin there will be light music and I will move around the body from head to feet with my hands 2-3 inches away from the body. This is non-touch therapy session so my hands don't physically ever touch you. After 30 minutes into the session I will start to move further away from the body about 6 inches to start giving reiki to the 1st and 2nd levels of the aura and, then I will move 2-3 feet away to give reiki to the outer levels of your aura. In the session I may take notes to make sure I don't forget what I pick up from the scan or any messages I receive. These notes and messages will be discussed when we finish the session.
Distance Session:
Please make sure that you are in a comfortable area where you can lay down uninterrupted for one hour. Please make sure all electronics are off. No TV, no phone, no tablets, iPads, or computers. If you need your phone for relaxing music keep the phone and/or bluetooth device at least 5 feet away from you with the ringer off. I will call you as a prep reminder and then let you know I'm beginning the session in 10 minutes so you can move the phone device away from you. I do not stay on the phone with with you or Zoom/ virtual the session. In my experience electronics do not allow me let the session flow. I don't find it necessary as my clients benefit greatly with the current procedure. All you have to do is relax for one hour and if you can't relax - don't worry the reiki will do that for you. I will call you about 20 minutes after the session has ended to discuss what I picked up and any suggestions I might have. You may light candles and place crystals on you or near you. Saging before a session is NOT recommended because Sage and incense clean and bring energy down to the earth and Reiki is higher healing energy.
For Children: Parental consent from an adult guardian is needed if the child is under the age of 18 years old. The consent form will be sent to the guardian, signed and scanned back to me. I do strongly recommend Distance sessions and it should be scheduled about an hour after the child's bedtime. Children have a ton of energy so to ask them to relax seems to benefit no one. When they are sleeping they are as relaxed as can be and absorb all the Reiki energy to their best benefit. You may wish to lay next to them or stay in the room - that's absolutely fine!
If you want your child to do an In-Person session then I would recommend a 1/2 hour session as to not have them feel too restricted in having to be still.
Pets: For Cats and Dogs are Distance sessions only. All other animals/pets we can schedule for me to go to the home where animal/pet is most comfortable and feels safe.
Everyone's experience is different. Reiki is very relaxing and a lot of people just fall asleep. That's great! Sleep allows the body to heal and allows for you to receive messages without judgement. You may feel relaxed and stay in a meditative state and see images, colors and/or receive messages. You may feel the energy in a warm wave like way coming from hands or not feel anything at all and that's all ok.
After you first Reiki session you should expect a "detox" period. So, going to work after a reiki session would not be suggested. Take the rest of the day to allow yourself to detox. Drink more water and walking a bit is a great way to enhance your healing. For some people it take unto 4 days it just depends on what is needed for you and how your body works. Reiki will begin to heal you mentally, physically and emotionally therefore anything emotional and mental will surface and you will have to deal with it. You will have to bring it up, cry , forgive and, let it go sometimes this happens immediately right in the reiki session. All this will benefit the physical plane because most our ailments manifest from the emotional and mental or even just in how we are perceive it. You will physically detox as well. Anything that is not serving the body will start to release so prepare for that as well. Expect vivid dreams and your intuition to be clear. Trust it. Reiki aids in removing blockages from the root to the crown chakra and when they are all are happy and the pipeline is clearing - messages can be so clear for you might doubt it. Please embrace it.
Reiki does promote self-healing so if you do it only once and that worked for you -great! Some want more energy or need more energy especially people going under serious medical treatment and want more life force that's great too!
